Meet Cowboy and Twister!

You could say they’re the new mascots for our first Safe Self Center – and they are PERFECT for the job. With personalities that love cuddles and attention, they are both very eager to start meeting folks in the community.
Twister
Twister is a 7 year old bay roan mare. She has a curious mind and loves to follow the chickens around the pasture during the day. She takes pride in being the line leader on our sunset walks. If you’re on the shorter side, you may find Twister resting her soft muzzle on the tops of your head for extra relaxation.
Cowboy
Cowboy is a 10 year old palomino gelding. He is curious, too, and loves giving the pups around the farm and good sniff when they pass by. Cowboy can’t resist any treats or extra hay anyone might be able to throw over the fence. You’ll make fast friends with him if you have a treat or a minute for some ear scratches!
How to Meet Cowboy and Twister:
There are several ways to make some new horse friends here with Safe Self Society.
We always welcome visitors! Message us on Facebook or through our Contact Us page to get in touch.
While you’re on site, you can say hello, ask any questions you may have about what we’re building, and of course, help out! We need feedback and members of the community here to make sure we’re building exactly what YOU need.
Outside of trips to the facility, you can expect to see Cowboy and Twister at local community events (such as the Chili Cook Off), where we will be raising money and awareness for our cause.
